The principals of Maverick have also been very involved in the purchase and sale of various land tracts in Texas and Oklahoma. The current portfolio consists of approximately 600 acres of land held for investment and/or development. Maverick has sold sites to the following list of tenants: Super Target, Wal-Mart Super Center, Wal- Mart Neighborhood Stores, Sam's Club, Lowes, Harvest Partners (for the construction of a 350,000 sq. ft. power center), Marriot Corporation, Cypress Senior Housing, Mid First Bank, Sonic, Applebee's, IHOP, Schlotzky's, Houston's Restaurants, Walgreens, Steak and Shake and other various retail users. Many of the returns have been at 4 to 5 multiples of cost.
