Our Investment Strategy

Maverick Southwest Investments (MSI) is interested in purchasing multifamily assets with any of the following characteristics:

  • Real estate fee interests, partnership interests, or notes where MSI has the flexibility to respond quickly and close;
  • Real estate assets that are "Environmentally Challenged"; MSI maintains specific expertise in the acquisition and redevelopment of properties with mold, asbestos, lead-based paint;
  • Distressed debt situations – MSI has the ability to purchase first lien and mezzanine debt on multifamily properties as a means to obtain title to the property;
  • Change of use situations – demolition of obsolete properties in prime locations to maximize highest and best use.
Maverick will continue to focus on opportunistic investments in the multifamily, land, retail, and condominium sectors of Southwestern U.S markets. Collectively, the principals of Maverick have acquired, developed, redeveloped, or brokered over $1 billion of real estate. The sponsors of Maverick have a proven track record of consistently delivering above market returns.

  3. Targeting "A" and "B" Locations in Southwestern U.S.
    • Texas: Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and surrounding cities.
    • Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada.
  4. Single Asset Purchases or Portfolios
